Lisa Olivia Munn was born in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Kimberly Schmid was born in Vietnam and is of Chinese roots, but her dad Winston Barrett Munn comes from a Southern family. Olivia's parents divorced when she was two years old, and she was raised by her father and stepfather who was who was a part of the United States Air Force. They left Oklahoma and lived in various locations, however she spent most of her time in Tokyo. In Japan, she was a local actress in shows and eventually was an Japanese fashion model. Olivia, who had been living with her parents in Los Angeles in order to achieve her dream of becoming an actress was determined to pursue this goal when the family moved back to America. In the end, she was able to land a couple of tiny roles on television series that featured Hawaii lense (such such as Beyond the Break), she was cast in the show Mily Acuna.
